Macurco Unveils Newest Ventilation Panel designed to comply with California’s Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards
Sioux Falls, SD –July 17, 2019 – Macurco Gas Detection, a leading developer of gas detection solutions for fire and security, HVAC, industrial, and personal safety, announced its new innovative DVP-120C ventilation panel.
Macurco’s newest innovation – DVP-120C BACnet control panel designed to comply with Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards
Macurco now offers four different control panels with the DVP-120C being the newest and exclusively for the California market.
The DVP-120C has all the same benefits as the Macurco DVP-120B with the addition of being designed to comply with California Title 24 for CO and NO2. A key benefit of the DVP-120C is the ability to control up to 99 addressable Macurco CM-6 & TX-6-ND gas detectors in conjunction with the Macurco MRS-485 adapter, giving up to 495,000 square feet of coverage. This benefit provides ease of use, data aggregation for better safety, and efficiencies in productivity, which ultimately will increase revenue.
The DVP-120C control panel can utilize a BACnet MS/TP output, which serves data and key events that are sent back to a company’s Building Management System (BMS). This control panel also accommodates the ability to automatically control and maintain an acceptable air environment in parking garages and many other facilities.
The automatic control of ventilation systems when gas values hit key levels is a key feature of the DVP-120C, ultimately offering faster response time, maximizing worker safety and peace of mind.
“After releasing our DVP-120B control panel with BACnet output in October of last year we realized we were missing a major market, California. California mandates parking garages greater than or equal to 10,000 cfm shall conform to Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standard. Due to this energy efficiency standard we launched the DVP-120C. The DVP-120C has all of the same bells and whistles as the DVP-120B with an added design to comply with the California Energy Efficiency Standards,” said Aaron Sherman, Macurco Gas Detection, Hazardous Solutions Specialist.
