Inside Sales Account Representative

The Inside Sales Account Representative will interact with existing customers to increase sales of Macurco’s products and/or services. This position will work with sales team members to facilitate the exchange of information for existing and potential customers, as well as provide support to customers over the phone. May conduct visits as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Duties and responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to
  • Manage relationships with key Tier 1 customers.
  • Coordinate with marketing on promotions.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team in regards to customer visits and training.
  • Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  • Engage in the negotiation of prices or terms of sales or service agreements.
  • Interact with customers via incoming, outbound calling, and email communication.
  • Prepare orders obtained and submit orders for processing.
  • Maintain customer records, using automated systems.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences, as well as corporate technical pieces of training.
  • Answer questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on the technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers’ needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
  • Travel: 0-10%
  • Other duties as assigned, including assisting with phone support as needed.

  • Communication —Talking, or writing, to others to convey information effectively. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Spanish – verbal and written (Bonus)

  • Products —Knowledge of gas detection devices.
  • Production and Processing—Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs of all products

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree – course work in Business, Marketing, Communications, etc. (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years of proven sales experience required
  • HVAC, Security System, Fire Alarm, Building Controls, or Communications product knowledge (Preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office
  • Business Central experience preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects
  • Dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse, tools, and controls on office equipment.
  • Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend and reach.
